Of Human Lifeby Archbishop Charles Chaput. Archbishop Chaput wrote a pastoral letter to the faithful in his Archdiocese to mark the 30th Anniversary of Pope Paul VI's encyclical Humanae Vitae restating the ban on using birth control. It is an excellent document that tries once again to convince those who have closed their hearts to this prophetic teaching.

One More Soul (OMS)is a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the truth about the blessings of children and the harms of contraception. OMS is currently working on some exciting projects. We are putting together a database of doctors who not only refuse to perform or refer for abortions, but also refuse to prescribe, perform or refer for contraception or artificial sterilization. We plan to publish our results soon as our Natural Family Planning Only Physicians Directory. One More Soul is also contacting seminiaries across the United States offering them FREE copies of our premier resource "Contraception: Why Not?" for each of their seminarians.
Answers to Some Common Misconceptions About Church Teaching on Contraceptionby Paul McLachlan. We recently took part in a discussion group for Catholic married couples. We felt so strongly about the misconceptions the other Catholics had about the Church's teaching on contraception that we provided this written response! It sets out a number of the most common misconceptions about contraception and the Church's teaching and explains the correct position. It's something of an FAQ on Catholic teaching on birth control!

Contraception: Why Not?by Janet Smith. While most of the rest of the world holds contraception to be a great good, Janet Smith provides convincing reasons and clear evidence in support of the Church's dissenting position that contraception is one of the worst inventions of our time.
Silent Retreat"When I became Catholic, there were teachings in the church that I didn't agree with, the biggest being abortion and Humanae Vitae.... I decided that I could hold my opinions as I wished, but I could not express them publicly or do anything in any way that would compromise the church's position for anyone else.... Out of grace, that agreement became a silent retreat, and here's what happened: for the first time, I had to listen and consider the position of the pro-life movement and the natural family planning folks -- after all, if you can't speak, you finally have to listen, if only out of boredom with your own litany."
